Today is election day in many parts of Ohio, including the Second Congressional District and the Cleveland Municipal School District. Polls are open from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm. Please remember to vote!

I voted in the 2nd district about 2 hrs ago. The current tally is schmidt 51%, hackett 49%. Whatever happens, I still get to be all self-righteous to people who didn't vote...

I guess not. It's down by almost 2 to 1 with 434 of 463 precincts reporting. Twice as many ballots were cast in Ward 21 as in Ward 1. I guess all those unemployed cops had plenty of time to vote.

It's still 51-49. Most of the outstanding votes seem to be from Clermont County, so that margin will probably widen in Schmidt's favor. Paul Hackett ran a hell of a race, though. I think we'll see more from him in the near future
Hey if it holds at 52-48 I'll be happy as a pig in schmidt... er... wait, maybe that was the wrong word... then again, maybe not...
